In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to enable or disable Adaptive Power on iOS 26.This is a smart energy optimization feature designed to extend your iPhone’s battery life by learning your daily usage patterns.
When enabled, Adaptive Power automatically adjusts system performance, background activity, and visual effects depending on your habits and battery level. While this feature is very useful for most users, you might sometimes want to turn it off—for instance, if you need maximum performance all the time.
Adaptive Power is Apple’s advanced battery management tool that combines performance scaling with AI-based activity prediction. Unlike Low Power Mode, which reduces performance universally, Adaptive Power dynamically balances battery efficiency and speed based on how you use your iPhone.
When enabled, your device may slightly reduce background refresh, limit animations, and scale CPU performance when you’re not actively using demanding apps. When disabled, your iPhone runs at full performance all the time but may consume more battery.
