Instagram Gallery: Upload Upto 10 Photos and Videos In The Same Instagram Post

You no longer have to select the even’t best photo or video to represent how much fun you had when uploading to Instagram. You can upload as many as 10 photos or videos in a single Instagram post with the new Instagram gallery feature.

Instagram gallery is the new Instagram feature that has been long overdue. With this feature, you can upload multiple photos and/or videos in a single Instagram post. Users can then scroll sideways to view the extra media in the post.

Instagram itself has been doing this for a while now with their carousel-style ads in your feed. It was just a matter of time before they conceded to pressure from the user base to allow this feature for them.

So it’s finally here, and it’s being rolled out in an update. Some areas will get updates earlier than others but it’s coming to you before too long.

How Instagram Gallery Works:

The update will add an extra icon to select multiple multiple photos and video when uploading to your feed. You will then select the videos and photos you want to post. Re-arrange the order in which you want them to appear when you post.

You can apply a filter to every photo/video individually or apply a filter to all at once. The same goes for tagging and location.

You can only have one caption for the entire post which in my opinion is limiting. What if you have something to say about each photo or video? I hope they will look into that.

Your Instagram followers recognize an Instagram gallery with the dots below indicating how many photo/videos there are.  They can then scroll to see them.

Surprise! ? Swipe left on the post above to see more. Starting today, you can share up to 10 photos and videos in one post on Instagram. With this update, you no longer have to choose the single best photo or video from an experience you want to remember. When uploading to your feed, you’ll see a new icon to select multiple photos and videos. It’s easy to control exactly how your post will look. You can tap and hold to change the order, apply a filter to everything at once or edit one by one. These posts have a single caption and are square-only for now. On a profile grid, you’ll notice the first photo or video of a post has a little icon, which means there’s more to see. And in feed, you’ll see blue dots at the bottom of these posts to let you know you can swipe to see more. You can like and comment on them just like a regular post. This update is available as part of Instagram version 10.9 for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android on Google Play. To learn more, check out help.instagram.com.
